Did you guys think for a second Teleti was about to take on the soldiers with a pocket knife? Um, no.

Also, why is there a feather in her speech bubble?

I'm glad you asked!

See, we've reached the point where multiple languages are being spoken. In panels where not everyone present understands what is being said, symbols will be used to signify that different languages are being spoken. I.e., the soldiers have no idea what she just said.

The feather denotes Kautsumney, the language of the bird people.

Get 'em, Teleti!

I was going to say something about the page seeming just a little cramped, but then I realized it was just the nets making me think that!

She can be kind of brave (ish).

Nets, yeah, sure. That's why it looks cramped. :) Crampness is always my bug bear.

Rejoice, Nina! It actually really enhances this page. And I know what you mean. My crampedness tends to be from too many gorram speech bubbles, but I still feel your pain.

What a brilliant idea for denoting bird people language! As a linguistics nerd, this is super exciting. :D

Thanks! I went back and forth thinking about different fonts or colors or whatever. I'm happy with this technique for now.

At least she got out of the way of the net.

Come to think if it, she probably could have cut her self *out* of the net as well cut her way in, but diving out of the way is probably a good instinct whenever anyone points any kind of firearm at you. :)

brilliant idea indicating languages! something tells me these guys are about to get messed up... (and i love Teleti's eyes so much! <3)

Hopefully the technique doesn't take up too much space. And yeah, we'll see what Teleti's next move is!

I am going to second everyone else, I love the language idea.

It might could use a bit of tweaking, but I think the core idea works alright.
